Pochettino disappointed after failing to win first PSG match

New Paris Saint-Germain manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has spoken of his disappointment at beginning his spell in charge with a 1-1 draw against Saint-Etienne on Wednesday.

Romain Hamouma scored for the home side in the 19th minute, before Moise Kean equalized just three minutes later.

There were no more goals in the Ligue 1 encounter.

The result means PSG remain in second place, three points behind Lyon.

Pochettino, who was appointed the new coach on Saturday, told Telefoot: “I am of course a little disappointed because we are PSG, so we must win.

“But after three days we had little time to prepare. There are a lot of things to work on that we have to improve.

“It is not a result that we wanted but it is clear that Saint-Etienne deserved this result.”
