Iyabo Ojo vows not to back down on Baba Ijesha’s case

Nollywood actress and producer, Iyabo Ojo, has vowed that she would not back down in the alleged case of sexual assault involving her colleague, Olanrewaju Omiyinka a.k.a Baba Ijesha, and a foster daughter of a comedinne, Princess.

Also a rape survivor, Ojo via her Instagram account slammed people who have accused her of taking up the case like it involves her child.

She mentioned that she once thought the government was the problem of Nigeria but she has come to realise that”we are our own problem.”

She said, “‘She’s not your child, why are you so pained about it.’ That is the same problem we have in Nigeria. The day we being take up issues that don’t concern us and begin to treat it like it’s our own problem, Nigeria will begin to get better.”

Analysing the four types of mothers she believes exist, she mentioned she is that kind of mother “who loves her children but also has the grace to love other children.”

Ojo stated that she is passionate about children, adding that it doesn’t have to be just her children alone, but as long as you’re a child, she just has that special kind of love for you.

She maintained that she was going to stand for the girl, who is a minor, and ensure justice was served.

“I am that woman, that mother who will stand for that girl till the end. I am not backing down until justice is served. Thank you,” she concluded.

As earlier reported, Ojo had earlier warred on social media with Yomi Fabiyi, another colleague who had demanded Baba Ijesha’s release from detention.

Fabiyi had also demanded that all adults involved in the CCTV video that implicated Baba Ijesha spend far more time than him in jail for the trauma they caused the minor by using her as bait for evidence.

Ojo fired back at the actor in his comment section, telling him to seek the truth before speaking.

“If you want to fight for what’s right, go to Panti police station and seek the truth or call Princess. I’m the wrongest person you want to go down this lane with.” She said.

Yomi Fabiyi staged a protest at Panti Police Station to demand the bail and release of his colleague.
