Atiku reacts as Boko Haram allegedly beheads 43 farmers

A Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the murder of 43 farmers by Boko Haram terrorists.

The farmers were beheaded on Saturday night in Zabarmari, less than 20 km from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.

Their corpses were said to have arrived at Zabarmari village, in Jere Local Government Area.

Reacting, Atiku called for a rejig of Nigeria’s security architecture, which he emphasized was overdue.

He expressed sadness over the tragic incident, even as he condoled with families of those affected.

On his Twitter page, Atiku wrote: “Heartbreaking. Words fail me. The lives of our citizens should be worth much more than this.

“The rejig of the nation’s security architecture is long overdue.

“May their souls rest in peace and may their families be comforted.”
