COVID-19: Nigeria records highest figure as NCDC confirms additional death

 


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday, recorded 1,354 new infections of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country.

The NCDC confirmed this on its verified Twitter handle.

One death was also recorded in Nigeria.

The figure was the highest ever recorded in one day since the virus was first reported in Nigeria.

The latest figure surpassed the 1,204 cases recorded across the country on Monday, confirming that Nigeria is experiencing a second wave of coronavirus.

The NCDC stated that the new infections bring the country’s total to 92,705.

The new cases were recorded from 20 States, including the Federal Capital Territory.
