NDLEA arrest drug dealer with Tramadol, drugs worth over 50m


The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Adamawa State Command, has arrested a suspected illicit drug dealer, Rabiu Imam, with Tramadol and Diazepam tablets worth over N50m.

The NDLEA spokesman, Jonah Achema, confirmed this while briefing the Chairman/Chief Executive of the agency, Brig. General Mohamed Buba Marwa on Saturday.

The drug dealer, was arrested with Tramadol tablet 225mg weighing 45.4kg.

Other illicit drugs recovered from suspect were Tramadol capsules 100mg weighing 550grms; Diazepam tablet 850gm.

The Adamawa state Commander of the NDLEA, Idris Bello, disclosed the the drug trafficker was arrested in Unguwan Madina, Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

According to him, the estimated street value of the seized drugs is over N50m.

“It is a trans business border business because the illicit drugs were moved from Onitsha, Anambra state through Yola to Mubi and heading to Cameroon and Chad,” Bello added.
