National Assembly suspends plenary to mourn member, Hassan-Kila

 


The National Assembly on Tuesday adjourned its plenary in honour of a member of the House of Representatives, Yuguda Hassan-Kila, who died about five days ago.

At the commencement of the Tuesday plenary, the Senate Leader moved a motion that the Senate suspends all legislative activities in honour of the deceased.

Earlier, the Senate observed a minute silence in honour of the late member of the House of Representatives.

In the same vein, the House of Representatives on Tuesday suspended plenary to mourn him.

Mr Hassan-Kila until his death, represented Gwaram Federal Constituency of Jigawa State in the House.

He was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and was serving in the House of Representatives for the second time.

He hailed from Kila in Gwaram Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

He had also served with the Nigeria Customs Service where he was promoted to the position of comptroller.
