‘There is nothing in Labour Party’ – Guber aspirant joins PDP in Ogun

A governorship aspirant of the Labour Party in Ogun State, Modupe Sanyaolu, has decamped from the party.

Sanyaolu officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun, saying there is nothing in the Labour Party.

Speaking at the PDP secretariat in Abeokuta on Friday, the former guber aspirant said she led her followers from the LP to the leading opposition party.

According to Sanyaolu, her decision to join the PDP was born out of the need to support Ladi Adebutu to win the 2023 governorship election.

“I was a governorship aspirant of the Labour Party. But today, I am joining the PDP. I have tested Labour Party and I know there is nothing there.

“My desire to join the PDP is to support Hon. Ladi Adebutu as the next governor of Ogun State. This is the winning party and I know we are here to win,” she said, urging Ogun people to support the PDP.

Recall that the Labour Party has no governorship candidate in Ogun.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said the party leadership in Ogun did not submit lists of its guber candidate and that of those running for house of assembly.
