EPL: Saha explains why Manchester United superstar, Sancho is struggling at Old Trafford

Former Manchester United striker, Louis Saha, has explained why he thinks winger, Jadon Sancho is struggling at Old Trafford after missing out on Gareth Southgate’s 2022 FIFA World Cup England squad to go to Qatar.

Saha believes Sancho is struggling because of overthinking and fitness problems.

Sancho was one of the most promising wingers in European football during his time at Borussia Dortmund.

The England international scored 50 goals and registered 64 assists in 137 assists in all competitions for Dortmund.

Sancho completed a big-money move to Old Trafford last summer and he has so far failed to live up to expectations, scoring just eight goals and providing four assists in his 52 appearances across competitions for Man United.

“He is at the point where he is overthinking. I think he is a player who came maybe with a fitness problem, so it took him time to actually adjust – strangely because he would come from England and he knows the intensity – but I felt like he wasn’t at the same level as others,” Saha told Compare Bet.

“Maybe it is because of the club that the team wasn’t at the level of the rest of the Premier League. But I think there’s a lot of overthinking in his game.”
