UCL: All 16 teams that crashed out of Champions League this season

 


The UEFA Champions League group stage matches were concluded on Wednesday night.

Ajax, Rangers, Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Viktoria Plzen, Sporting, Marseille, RB Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb have all crashed out of the Champions League this season.

Others are Shakhtar Donetsk, Celtic, Sevilla, Copenhagen, Juventus and Maccabi Haifa, making up the 16 teams that were eliminated from Europe’s top-flight tournament.

The likes of Napoli, Liverpool, Porto, Club Brugge, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Tottenham, Eintracht Frankfurt, Chelsea, AC Milan, Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Benfica, and PSG all qualified for the Round of 16 stages after this week’s Champions League group stage match-day six fixtures on Wednesday night.

The Champions League round of 16 fixtures will take place 14/15/21/22 February, with the second legs on 7/8/14/15 March 2023.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid defeated Celtic 5-1 on Wednesday night, Chelsea won 2-1 against Dinamo Zagreb at Stamford Bridge and Manchester City defeated Sevilla 3-1 at Etihad.

In other games played on Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Juventus 2-1 in Italy, AC Milan won 4-0 against RB Salzburg, Copenhagen drew 1-1 with Dortmund and Benfica thrashed Maccabi Haifa 6-1 in Israel.
