England forward, Lauren James has predicted a ‘very tough’ clash when her team face Nigeria’s Super Falcons in the Round of 16 of 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup tie.
James spoke at her post-match interview after she led England to thrash China 6-1 in their final Group D encounter on Tuesday.
Sarina Wiegman’s side will now face Nigeria on 7 August in Brisbane and James is expecting the match to be a difficult challenge.
Speaking about the game, the Chelsea star told ITV, “Nigeria is going to be very tough, to be fair every team has been tough, even watching the other games.
“Teams are catching up with each other and I know that will be another very difficult game.”
