Club World Cup: Fluminense mock Botafogo, Flamengo after reaching quarter-final

Fluminense on Monday mocked Botafogo and Flamengo after reaching the quarter-final of the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup tournament in the United States.

The Brazilian club defeated Inter Milan 2-0 in the Club World Cup Round of 16 tie to reach the quarter-final.

Two goals from Germán Cano and Hércules gave Fluminense the victory against the Serie A side at the Bank of America Stadium.

Fluminense will now face the winner between Manchester City and Al Hilal in the last-8.

In a post via its X account, Fluminense wrote after the game, “”Hi, Botafogo! Hi, Flamengo! How’s the weather in Rio de Janeiro?”

Recall that Botafogo had lost 1-0 against Palmeiras in the last-16 stage.

Flamengo, on the other hand, were defeated 4-2 against Bayern Munich.

All the three clubs – Fluminense, Botafogo and Flamengo – are from Brazil.
