The Niger State Police Command has arrested ten suspects allegedly involved in criminal activities and unrest across parts of Minna and Kontagora, recovering dangerous weapons and hard drugs from them.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday in Minna.
According to him, officers from the ‘A’ Division in Kontagora carried out a raid in the Tudun-Wada area on October 23, where they arrested three suspects — Abdullahi Abdullahi (22), Fahad Abubakar (19), and Nasiru Aliyu (28).
Similarly, police operatives from the Central Police Station, Minna, conducted raids on several criminal hideouts, including Angwan Sarki, Kuta Road, Sabon-Gari, Ogbomosho, Baida, and Makera.
Items recovered from them include marijuana, shisha pipes, and other intoxicating substances.
Abiodun further revealed that the suspects were charged to court on October 24, while the Command continues intensified raids on identified criminal hotspots to ensure peace and security across the state.
