The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has alleged that the recent wave of terrorist attacks across the country is being fuelled by ‘internal saboteurs’ working against Nigeria’s security interests.
The APC argued that the pattern of recent attacks suggested elements of insider collusion, pointing to what it described as unusual accuracy in the attackers’ knowledge of troop deployment, unexplained disruptions in security checkpoints, and spikes in violence coinciding with political flashpoints.
Oladejo also accused some political actors of amplifying terrorist propaganda and weaponizing insecurity to score political points.
“These are not random incidents. They reflect a disturbing level of betrayal,” he said.
The Lagos APC insisted that only insiders could facilitate such coordinated breaches and urged the Federal Government to identify and prosecute those allegedly undermining security operations.
The statement reaffirmed the party’s confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, noting that his administration has adopted a “ruthless, intelligence-led strategy” to counter terrorism. It also commended the Armed Forces for maintaining their commitment despite what it described as acts of sabotage by “a few bad eggs.
Oladejo warned individuals allegedly aiding or abetting terrorist activities that their “network will soon be uncovered,” stressing that Nigeria would prevail over its present security challenges.
