Rivers Grassroot Movement celebrates Gov. Fubara on birthday, hails leadership

The Rivers Grassroot Movement (RGM) has extended warm birthday felicitations to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, commending his leadership style and developmental strides across the state.

In a congratulatory statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its National Leader, High Chief Hon. Amb. Sobomabo Jackrich (Egberipapa), the movement described Governor Fubara’s administration as people-centred and impactful, anchored on the “Rivers People First” mantra.

According to the group, the governor’s leadership has delivered what it termed “unparalleled dividends of democracy” across critical sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare and agriculture, with visible projects spread across the state’s 23 local government areas.

“Your remarkable developmental footprint stands bold and transformative in all 23 local government areas, positively impacting the lives of every Rivers indigene and resident,” the statement said.

The Movement also praised Governor Fubara’s resilience in the face of political challenges, noting that despite what it described as “intense political rivalry orchestrated by enemies of the state,” the governor has remained focused on governance and service delivery.

“You have remained resolute and focused, a quality that marks you as a grounded public administrator and an astute public servant par excellence,” the group stated, adding that the governor has emerged as “an icon of hope and inspiration to Rivers people.”

The group further offered prayers for the governor, asking God to grant him renewed strength, wisdom and good health to continue his mandate. It also prayed for sustained peace, prosperity and unity in Rivers State under his leadership.

The statement also wished him long life and continued service to the people of the state, reaffirming the group’s respect and admiration for the governor.

“Happy Birthday, Your Excellency. Long may you live to serve Rivers State,” the statement read.
