Abdullahi Maikaba has resigned from his position as technical adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, club Wikki Tourists.

Maikaba cited internal disunity and concerns over his personal safety as reasons for his decision.

Wikki Tourists were held to a 4-4 draw by Katsina United in his last game in charge of the club.

He further explained that persistent disagreements among stakeholders had made it difficult for the team to achieve its objectives.

Maikaba is currently regarded as one of the best coaches in the domestic football scene in Nigeria.

The experienced tactician has also managed top Nigerian clubs including Kano Pillars, Akwa United, and Rangers.
