TCN restores electricity supply to Kaduna after Shiroro–Mando Transmission Line 1 repair

The Transmission Company of Nigeria has announced the restoration of electricity supply to Kaduna State after repair at the 330 kV Shiroro–Mando Transmission Line 1.
The spokesperson of TCN disclosed this on Monday.

According to the statement, electricity was restored at the weekend after the repair works, resulting in improved supply in the state.

TCN, however, stated that repair works are ongoing on the 330 kV Shiroro–Mando Transmission Line 2.

“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has successfully restored the 330 kV Shiroro–Mando Transmission Line 1, which is currently operational.

“With the restoration of Line 1, bulk power supply to Kaduna Electric has significantly improved, and power supply constraints previously experienced in Kaduna have been alleviated,” the statement reads.

Meanwhile, DAILY POST reports that the country still faces a drop in power supplynationwide from the national grid due to maintenance exercises at Seplat, a joint venture with Nigerian National Petroleum Company Gas Infrastructure Company (NGIC), and gas production facilities.
