COVID-19: Nigeria records 1,138 new cases, more deaths

 


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced 1,138 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the country.

The NCDC, while giving the report on Wednesday night via its Twitter handle, said five fresh deaths resulting from COVID-19 complications, have also been recorded.

It stated that 1,138 new infections were recorded in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the last 24 hours.

The health agency said the total number of confirmed cases in the country now stands at 134,690.
