COVID-19: Nigeria records 676 new infections, 21 more deaths

 


COVID-19 infections in Nigeria have continued to surge as the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 676 new cases, bringing the total number of infections to 131,918.

The health agency disclosed this on its official Twitter handle, Monday night.

The NCDC said that twenty-one additional people died from coronavirus-related complications in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,607.

It stated that the 676 new infections were recorded in 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the last 24 hours.
