Mikel Obi, Asisat Oshoala react as Ighalo joins new club


Former Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel and Barcelona striker, Asisat Oshoala have reacted to Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo’s move to a new club, Al Hilal.

Ighalo on Saturday confirmed his move to Al Hilal from Al Shabab.

The former Manchester United star, writing on his verified Instagram account, said: “Thank You @AlShababSaudiFC it was a Pleasure.”

The 32-year-old has agreed on a deal with Al Hilal until June 2023.

“Welcome the ‘Eagle’, Odion Ighalo,” the tweet from Al Hilal read, accompanied by a graphic image of the Nigerian in his club’s colour.

Reacting, Mikel Obi, who played alongside Ighalo in the Super Eagles, ‘liked’ his post on Instagram.

On her part, Oshoala wrote: “This man …..Anywhere you go, we go follow u enter.”

Ighalo joined Al Shabab in February 2021, after signing a two-and-a-half-year deal.
