A local hunter, one Saheed Ogundahun has reportedly killed a Fulani herdsman in Ewekoro, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Lanre Bankole, confirmed this on Monday while parading the suspect alongside others at the State police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
According to Bankole, Ogundahun was arrested on March 13 for killing the “Fulani herdsman with a Dane gun.”
Bankole explained that the said Ogundahun, after killing the herder, also “buried him on his farm in Ewekoro.”
According to him, the body of the slain herdsman “has been exhumed and taken to Ifo General Hospital mortuary for an autopsy.”
He added that the suspect shot the man to death and buried his lifeless body in the bush.
Bankole said, “on credible intelligence, one Saheed Ogundahun, a hunter, was arrested in connection with the case.
“On interrogation, the said Saheed, confessed that he shot the victim to death and buried him in the bush.”
