The Community Shield match between Manchester City and Liverpool has been moved to the King Power Stadium, the UK Mirror reports.
This is because the final of the Women’s Euro 2022 will be played the following day at the Wembley stadium, which is the usual venue.
The Community Shield has been fixed for July 30, a week before the commencement of the 2022/2023 Premier League season, while the final of Women Euros comes up July 31.
The tie this year comes a week earlier, in a bid to accommodate the November-December Qatar World Cup schedule.
Leicester defeated Manchester City 1-0 in last year’s fixture.
The Premier League season will kick off one week after the Community Shield on 6 August.
