Messi at 35: Barcelona celebrates greatest ex-player

Spanish LaLiga giants, Barcelona, have taken out time to celebrate one of their greatest ex-player, Lionel Messi, as he turns 35 today (Friday).

The Catalan club took to their official Twitter page on Friday to post a video of the Argentine captain in action for the Blaugrana.

Messi currently plays for French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner left his boyhood club Barcelona on a free transfer last summer for PSG.

“Happy birthday, Leo”, Barcelona wrote on Twitter alongside the video clip.

Messi departed Barcelona as the player with the most games played (767), the most titles won (35), the most goals scored (671) and the most victories registered (542) in their history.
