Oyo: Makinde appoints Ibadan-based broadcaster, Amole, others as aides


Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has appointed new set of aides who will work with him.

Makinde announced the appointment of the new aides on Tuesday.

One of the newly appointed aides is an Ibadan-based broadcaster, Alhaji Olalomi Amole.

Amole is an indigene of Ona Ara Local Government Area in Oyo Central Senatorial district.

Amole was appointed by Makinde as First Commissioner/Board Member of the Local Government Service Commission.

Makinde also announced the appointment of a former Woman Leader of Oyo State chapter of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mrs. Funmilayo Arulogun.

Arulogun was appointed as Senior Special Assistant (Diaspora).

Arulogun, who replaced Mrs. Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu holds a Bachelor of Education degree in English.

Sarumi-Aliyu was one of the aspirants who contested the recently held primary election of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North Federal constituency.

It was gathered that Arulogun was the National Ex-Officio of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between 2008 and 2012.

She was the Secretary of the Contact and Mobilisation Sub-committee of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign in the State in 2011.

Makinde in a statement signed by his Special Assistant (Print Media), Moses Alao, said that the appointments were made public in separate letters signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Olubamiwo Adeosun.

He added that the trio of Mrs. Danjuma Odunayo Kayode, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufajo Oluremi Faith and Miss Amuzat Eniola Christabel, were also appointed Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Liaison, member of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board and member of the Board of Agriculture Credit Corporation of Oyo State, respectively.

He explained that the appointments are with effect from June 28, 2022.
