Pep Guardiola has slammed his Manchester City team and the club’s supporters after their 4-2 win over struggling Tottenham in the Premier League on Thursday night.
Manchester City were 2-0 down at half-time but returned from the break to thrash Antonio Conte’s side.
Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Riyad Mahrez [double] put Pep Guardiola’s team back within five points of Arsenal at the top of the table.
The Spanish boss was not impressed by his team’s performance, saying that they are likely to drop another point with such a display.
He also blasted the fans for booing the team at half-time when they were 2-0 down
“There is nothing from the stomach and the guts. Today we were lucky but if we do not change then sooner or later we are going to drop points again,” the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss told Sky Sports.
The manager said there was no passion, fire and desire to win the game from the very first minute, adding that “It’s the same with our spectators, our fans had a silent 45 minutes.
“They boo [at half-time] because we were losing.”
