Ten Hag ‘disappointed’ as Man Utd end interest in Harry Kane

Manchester United are no longer interested in signing Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer, the UK Guardian reports.

Erik ten Hag made Kane his first-choice transfer target this summer, as he seeks to add a striker to his squad.

It is believed that Ten Hag had been “obsessed” with bringing the England captain to Old Trafford.

But United are now ready to look for alternatives having accepted Kane will be too expensive and out of their reach.

This has left Ten Hag “disappointed” over the Red Devils’ inability to bring in his top target. But the Dutchman understands United’s position and is aware the club cannot overpay for the 29-year-old who is the final year of his contract in north London.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep Kane at the club with hope he will still sign a new deal in the coming 12 months and will not entertain the idea of selling him to a direct rival.
