Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has declared Monday, October 6, 2025, a public holiday for teachers in the state in commemoration of World Teachers’ Day.
Delivering the governor’s message, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, praised the resilience, sacrifice, and dedication of teachers, describing them as pivotal to human progress and national development.
“Our teachers embody patience, sacrifice, and resilience. They nurture minds, shape futures, and drive society’s growth. Today, Kwara salutes their labour of love — for without teachers, no profession exists,” the commissioner stated in Ilorin on Saturday.
