Rodri withdraws from Spain squad due to muscle injury

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has withdrawn from the Spanish national team squad after sustaining a muscle injury on Sunday.

Although the injury is not believed to be serious, the decision was made as a precaution to allow the midfielder adequate recovery time.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Rodri shared an update on Monday, saying, “I am feeling better, but no risk with the national team. I hope to be available in two weeks for the Everton game.”

His comments indicate that Manchester City are optimistic about his recovery timeline, with hopes he will return in time for their Premier League clash against Everton after the international break.

Rodri’s absence will be a setback for Spain as they prepare for their upcoming fixtures, but head coach Luis de la Fuente is expected to test other midfield options during this window.

Meanwhile, Manchester City will keep a close watch on his progress, aware of his vital role in both their Premier League title challenge and the Champions League campaign.
