We’ll crush banditry in Kebbi’ — Gov Idris vows

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining zero tolerance for insecurity across the state.

Speaking during a meeting with the Elders Consultative Forum in Birnin Kebbi, the governor emphasized that achieving lasting peace requires collective effort from government institutions, security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and citizens.

Idris said his administration has adopted deliberate measures to strengthen the state’s security architecture, including the establishment of a State Security Committee chaired by the governor, enhanced intelligence gathering, investment in technology-driven security operations, and the creation of additional Forward Operational Bases, FOBs, in vulnerable areas.

“Our commitment to peace is total, and we will continue to invest in security to protect the lives and property of our citizens,” the governor stated.
