Otti tasks Nigerian Army on professionalism, discipline


 Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has charged officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army to remain professional, disciplined, and loyal to the ideals of service, honour, and sacrifice in their operations in 2026.

Governor Otti gave the charge at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks, Headquarters of the Nigerian Army 14 Brigade, Ohafia, Abia State, during the West African Social Activities (WASA) 2025 celebration.

The Governor, who was represented by the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Ikechukwu Emetu, praised the officers and soldiers of 14 Brigade for remaining steadfast in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities in 2025.

He noted that their sacrifices contributed significantly to the protection of lives and property, as well as the peace and stability of Abia State and the country at large.

He added that the rich cultural displays showcased at the event reflected the diversity, unity, and strength that define the Nigerian Army.
