Following the sentencing of the former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, to 75 years imprisonment, Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court Abuja has ordered the arrest of the convict.
Omotosho, on Wednesday, sentenced Mamman on all 12 counts of money laundering and conspiracy involving funds meant for the Zungeru and Mambilla hydroelectric power projects, preferred against him by the EFCC.
He further ordered that the sentences run consecutively.
Though the convict was not in court, Justice Omotosho ordered that the sentence would begin to run from the day the convict is arrested.
He ordered all security agencies, including Interpol, to arrest the convict wherever he is seen.
Justice Omotosho further added that all monies recovered from him, as well as the properties, be forfeited to the federal government.
The convict was also ordered to pay the difference left in the N22 billion meant for the Mabilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power project.
